Bill SV1BJW lives in Pireaus, Greece. He had installed his antenna on a 6m long water pipe, but he was not satisfied with the performance of the antenna, due to the low installation height. Also he had difficulties during maintenance. So, he installed a 4 section Telescopic As his QTH is 300m from the sea, he choosed a fully Hot deep Galvanized telescopic mast, with 3mm wall thickness. Due to some local limitations, the sections are 2,5m each.

     

The antenna rotator was placed directly on top of the last section. The Telescopic mast is installed on the side of a small room that exists on the roof. This makes antenna maintenance an easy job, without climbing to towers, ladders etc.
